For the second year, Wilhelm Automotive will join the fight to ‘Wipe Out Breast Cancer’ with a unique pink wiper blade campaign throughout the month of October. The manufacturer of the blades, AutoTex Pink, donates a portion of the proceeds from sales to breast cancer research, and Wilhelm Automotive has also committed to donate $5 of each sale of the Pink wiper blades to support John C. Lincoln’s Breast Cancer Breast Health and Research Center’s family support and outreach programs. “This is an easy and affordable way for Wilhelm automotive customers to support Breast Cancer Awareness, and in particular, programs right here in the Valley that offers assistance to those dealing with a family member affected by breast cancer,” said Wilhelm President Chris Garman.
Wilhelm is pleased to again support the efforts of John C. Lincoln’s Breast Cancer Health and Research Center. The Center offers a variety of free support groups to those affected by breast cancer. Support programs include Yoga for Recovery, cooking classes, THRIVE! Young Breast Cancer Survivor Group and Breast Cancer Learn and Support Groups. Last year’s Wipe Out campaign raised more than $700 to support the programs.
“The diagnosis of breast cancer doesn’t just affect the patient, if affects the whole family. The Breast Health and Research Center wants to give hope, encouragement and power to everyone that is affected by breast cancer,” said Paulla Miller, Cancer Survivor and John C. Lincoln Breath Health and Research Community Outreach and Resource Manager.
The Pink wiper blades are high quality blades in a traditional black or pink, both with a small pink ribbon to denote the support of breast cancer awareness. The blades can be purchased at any of Wilhelm’s seven Valley locations. The blades range in price depending on size starting at about $7.95 each.
